Breakfast webinar on Rumen8

Rumen8 is a free software application which helps to more easily manage dairy and beef cattle rations to increase production, reduce costs and lower enteric methane intensity. Originally developed for the dairy industry in Australia, it was adapted for use in East Africa by adding, amongst other features, a tropical feed library with 230 feeds. It has proven itself as a powerful tool for reducing feed cost, increasing margins and reducing enteric methane emissions.

Impression of how Rumen8 is used at dairy farms in Kenya

This breakfast webinar was held on July 8 2021 and included a video impression of Rumen8 in use at dairy farms in Kenya, introductions by experts Jos Creemers and Hink Perdok and practical demonstrations on how to use Rumen8 in the formulation of a cattle ration. NFP and NEADAP consider Rumen8 as a great example of ‘best practice in dairy and beef’ and therefore promotes its wider use.
