World Food Forum 2025: Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future

The upcoming World Food Forum (WFF) 2025 flagship event is set to take place from 10 to 17 October 2025, both in person at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy and online. This edition marks a special milestone—celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) under the guiding theme:

“Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future”
—anchored by the Four Betters:

Better Production
Better Nutrition
Better Environment
Better Life

Over this dynamic week, expect high‑level dialogues, innovation labs, hackathons, exhibitions, cultural showcases and more, designed to accelerate solutions that can reshape agrifood systems.

The event is organizes around three pillars

Global Youth Action: empowering young changemakers through assemblies, workshops and interactive platforms.
Science & Innovation Forum: showcasing research-driven solutions for resilient agrifood systems.
Hand‑in‑Hand Investment Forum: catalyzing financing and partnerships to scale impact.
These pillars reflect WFF’s commitment to holistic, multi‑sector collaboration

The week will also feature additional high-profile events, including the annual World Food Day and the official inauguration of the Food and Agriculture Museum and Network (MuNe), a vibrant, interactive space designed to bridge global food technologies and cultures by showcasing the traditions and innovations that shape agrifood systems. This will be complemented by the FAO Global Exhibition: From Seeds to Foods, as well as special sessions as part of the annual edition of the Rome Water Dialogue, a nomadic Indigenous Peoples' territory at FAO's 80th anniversary, and the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Ministerial Dialogue.
