Celebration of World Milk Day 2023 and Launching of IDF-National Committee for Rwanda Event

Rwanda National Dairy Platform (RNDP) is organizing a two-day event to celebrate World Milk Day. The platform's mandates include among others the streamlining of the functioning of the dairy value chain segments through the implementation of activities aimed at improving production and productivity, milk collection, handling, transportation, storage, processing and commercialization. The Platform has recently joined the International Dairy Federation (IDF) and intends to launch the IDF-Rwanda National Committee members on 31 May 2023. In order to fulfill the IDFs requirement, the Platform has nominated key industry stakeholders (persons) to be the first team of IDFs Rwanda National Committee. The nominated persons will be officially installed during the celebration of world milk day on 1st of June 2023. The event will be complemented by a dairy symposium which will be convened on 31st May. The symposium will cover various dairy products scientific sessions in which international speakers will be invited. It is anticipated that, the event will attract at least 200 Rwandan dairy sector stakeholders. Concurrently, there shall be a three days mini-dairy expo to showcase Rwanda-made dairy products to the community.
