Global Embassy Staff Visit Regenerative Farm
This week local staff from Dutch embassies in Africa and Asia made a special visit to Schevichoven, a regenerative farm in Leersum (NL). The farms mission is to create an example of a financially viable farm that works with nature, rather than against it; taking steps to reverse deforestation, restoring degraded land, increasing biodiversity, improving water cycles and enhancing the vitality of the area.
The tour sparked discussions among participants around the need for more ecologically sustainable food systems around the world and the challenges to bringing such models to scale. This visit was organised by NFP, and was part of the RVO summer program for food security experts.
